This is the modern version of the Kalashnikov scope mounts. It places the rail closer to the eye, allowing for superior eye relief. It is suitable for any AK rifle with a side bracket, including the AK47 AIMS, AKM, Dragunov etc. It is more secure than the older type AK47 mount, and allows for greater accuracy.
Installing the mount is quick and easy. All you have to do is open the latch, slide the mount into place and close the latch.
Due to the variety of manufacturers making AK's, sometimes you will have to adjust the depth of the catch. To do this, simply press down on the catch (underside of the mount), and tighten/loosen the bolt until the required depth is achieved. If the mount is coming off then you need to tighten it up. Similarly if it is not going on at all, you need to back the nut out a little at a time until it goes on.
