Marui Boys MP A5 is a compact electric airsoft gun based on the well-known MP submachine gun. The Boys series uses reduced dimensions and a lightweight construction for easier handling, while the retractable stock allows the overall length to be adjusted to suit the user and situation.

The gun offers both semi-automatic and full-automatic firing modes, selected with the fire selector on the side of the receiver. In full-auto mode, the rate of fire is approximately 15 BBs per second. An adjustable hop-up system lets the user fine-tune the trajectory of 0.12 g BBs, with the manufacturer specifying a maximum range of up to approximately 25 metres.

Despite its compact format, the MP A5 retains familiar details of the original design. It features an adjustable rear sight and a retractable stock. A push-button grip safety provides an additional safety feature by requiring the button to be pressed before the trigger can be operated.

The electric system runs on six standard AA-size alkaline batteries, eliminating the need for a separate airsoft battery and charger. The batteries are housed inside the handguard and are not included.
