The Cybergun FN M249 Mk2 is a powerful and highly realistic support weapon based on the FN Herstal-designed Minimi light machine gun. The real M249 was developed to replace the heavier M60 and remains in service in over 75 countries worldwide.

Manufactured by A&K and officially licensed by Cybergun, this replica features a full metal construction. The receiver, barrel and many external components are made from steel and aluminum, while the stock, pistol grip and handguard are constructed from durable polymer. Weighing approximately 5.8 kg, it delivers authentic presence and realism.

The rifle includes a folding adjustable bipod and a carry handle for easier handling and barrel access. A 6.03 mm precision inner barrel (510 mm length) ensures excellent range and accuracy for sustained support fire.

Internally, the M249 gearbox features 8 mm bearings, 18:1 steel gears, a reinforced piston with steel teeth, and a delayer chip for improved feeding during long bursts. The quick-change spring system allows rapid power adjustment for different field requirements. A Deans (T-plug) connector ensures efficient power transfer.
