The Borner Tokarev 33 is a 4.5 mm CO₂ air pistol that fires steel BBs and follows the distinctive styling of the Tokarev pistol. It combines a classic appearance with a lightweight build for recreational target shooting. At 390 g and 20 cm long, the pistol is easy to handle.

The matte polymer frame keeps the weight down, while the barrel and small internal components are metal. The removable metal magazine holds 18 steel BBs. Its follower can be locked in the lower position during loading, making the magazine easier to fill.

A single 12-gram CO₂ cartridge housed in the grip powers the pistol. Muzzle velocity reaches up to 120 m/s, with up to 60 shots available from one cartridge. Actual velocity and shot count depend on conditions, including ambient temperature and the pace of shooting.

The double-action trigger mechanism allows successive shots without a separate manual cocking step. Low-profile fixed open sights provide a straightforward sight picture, and the manual safety sits on the right side of the frame.
