The MCS 11.5" upgrade barrel kit is designed for the IntruBuster Gen2 .68 and includes an extended .686" barrel together with the MK23 II mock suppressor. The longer barrel allows the propellant gas to act on the projectile over a greater distance than the original barrel, increasing muzzle velocity, accuracy and muzzle energy by up to 30 joules.

The .686-inch bore reduces the clearance between a suitably sized .68-calibre projectile and the inner surface of the barrel. This reduces gas bypass, provides more consistent muzzle velocity and improves accuracy. The correct projectile diameter should always be taken into account to ensure that the projectile moves freely through the barrel.

The barrel is made from 6061 aircraft-grade aluminium, making it lightweight yet rigid. The 11.5-inch barrel can increase muzzle energy by approximately 20–30 joules depending on the configuration. With suitable settings, total muzzle energy can exceed 50 joules.

The barrel replaces the original IntruBuster Gen2 .68 barrel. Installation is carried out by removing the original barrel and fitting the longer MCS barrel in its place. The muzzle features a 22 mm thread for compatible accessories.

The included MCS MK23 II mock suppressor is specifically designed for use with the 11.5-inch barrel. It slides back over a large section of the barrel, keeping the overall length more compact than with a conventional design extending fully beyond the muzzle. Made from aluminium alloy, the MK23 II adds minimal weight to the pistol while giving the front end a more distinctive appearance.
