Bb's are loaded into the grenade at a time and filled with propellant gas. Although the grenade works with gas, the balls come out of the grenade at an appropriate power of about 1 joule. The gas discharges and the grenade movement are lurking in the fanciful way around, like the right grenade. The grenade can then be recharged and reused.
